Blessings on all of you lovers and friends and fiances and newlyweds and family members. Celebrate love today.

It does not have to be a fancy dinner in a restaurant. Make your loved one coffee and give it with a kiss, smile at the people you meet today. Encourage everyone.

If you have a special someone, give them a flower, a card, take them or make them a special meal. It could be lobster and champagne or it could be macaroni and cheese. Just be sweet.
Celebrate and appreciate love wherever you are lucky enough to have it.

We are enjoying such beautiful beach weddings these days. Winter in Maui is better than summer anywhere else!

Do you like bright blue skies, temperatures in the low eighties and gentle trade winds caressing your cheeks and waving through the palm trees? How about whales celebrating your wedding by leaping and spouting?

Why not consider having a beach wedding on Maui this winter?

Stephanie and Jeffrey celebrated a passionate and beautiful wedding on the lovely Aloha Beach in Kihei, Maui. Jeffrey and Stephanie anticipated their Maui wedding eagerly and Maui did not disappoint and delivered the perfect beach afternoon.
How delightful it was to perform a wedding for these happy lovebirds. They truly enjoyed every moment of their wedding ceremony, vows, and romance photos, captured by Desiree Maher.

#doublevowrenewal

Caitlin and Karl and Patrick and Danielle returned to Tavares Bay Maui to celebrate their vow renewals, this time with five beautiful children in tow. Their ceremonies were simple and lively, with much celebration and love.
We were blessed with some delightful wedding crashers, 6 Hawaiian sea turtles who swam into part of the festivities and enjoy being adored by the children.
A wonderful time was had by all, couples, children and turtles.

Angie and Phillip traveled all the way from Germany to celebrate their wedding on a Maui beach. They decided that Aloha Beach was just right for them and they enjoyed their sun-soaked pre-sunset wedding immensely.
Angie and Phillip had decided they wanted to embrace simplicity in their wedding and the beach is the perfect venue for great beauty as well as ease and relaxation. Phillip and Angie are a very loving, romantic couple and their tender love for one another was all the decoration they needed. The beach, waves and skies were their cathedral and at the end, the sunset and stars provided natural fireworks.
I know Phillip and Angie will continue their beautiful love in Germany and hope that they will one day return to our Maui shores for a renewal.

#mauitropicalplantationwedding

Aloha friends,
This is the season when many brides and grooms plan a wedding using one of Maui’s gorgeous private sites. So I am doing a series of weddings featuring these sites. Today is our beloved Maui Tropical Plantation.

Brian and Alisha selected the Maui Tropical Plantation in Waikapu, Maui for their wedding because they felt it “looks like Hawaii”, which of course it is. The plantation is full of lush tropical vegetation, a pretty pond, a white gazebo and many accoutrements for a romantic and easy wedding.

Alisha, Brian and their children were able to dress and prepare for their wedding in comfortable air-conditioned dressing rooms, while Cathy Simone of Maui Imprints Photography captured memorable moments. The Tropical Plantation staff were on hand for any last minute needs.

Meanwhile, Merry Maui Wedding professionals were putting all the last details into place. Craig Gomberg adjusted the cameras and miked the minister and musician. Rev. Ayesha Sandra Lee reviewed the ceremony notes and oversaw the wedding flowers. Maui Wedding Cakes placed a very pretty cake, custom made to the bride’s design, in readiness for the after wedding celebration, on a festive round table. Then everything was good to go!

Alisha, Brian and children, all gorgeous and ready for their wedding strolled down the lush tropical garden path to the white gazebo by the pond, the site of their Maui Tropical Plantation wedding. The photographers: Craig Gomberg on video, and Cathy Simone on camera. The Hawaiian musician, Gabriel Furumoto, on ukulele and voice and Reverend Ayesha Sandra Lee, wedding officiant, were awaiting with great expectation. There was this wonderful wedding band that brought the most entertaining and exciting dance experience one could ever hope for. Learn more about WeddingMusicBands.com if you are also looking for a perfect wedding band.

The wedding progressed beautifully and Alisha and Brian were married! They danced their first song together as husband and wife, to the beautiful voice and instrument of Rev. Gabriel.

Then it was time for family congratulations and celebration. Alisha and Brian cut their beautiful custom designed wedding cake and fed each other as a fitting tribute to their love and care.

Many beautiful photos were taken, by Cathy Simone of Maui Imprints Photography, of the couple and family in the lush, tropical setting of the Plantation with the West Maui Mountains standing sentinel.
Finally, it was time for the happy family to “hele on” to their reception dinner. We wish the best to Alisha and Brian and family.

#mauiweddingbouquet

Bouquets are back.(Not that they ever really left) Suddenly brides are ordering bouquets for themselves, and moms and and bridesmaids etc. I am glad because the more flowers at a wedding, the better, as far as I am concerned and a bride with a bouquet is a lovely archetypal image of grace and sweetness.
A bouquet can be anything from a few flowers tied together with a ribbon to a huge, wired engineering masterpiece of flowers that could adorn a Rose Parade float. My brides can order whatever they want if they give us enough time and have the budget.
However, Merry Maui Weddings specializes in colorful, original and affordable bouquets concocted from our plethora of fresh and fragrant tropical flowers. We like to add a few mainland favorites such as roses and lilies too, if they are in season. Pictured are some examples of local bouquets. Ask us what we can do for you:)
